Michael J. Chapman, 59, of Sun City, Ariz. passed away peacefully March 15, 2008, at Hospice of the Valley, Sun City, with his family at his side.

He was born in Milwaukee to Evelyn (Patterson) and Eugene H. Chapman on May 8, 1949. The family lived in Milwaukee where he attended grade school and graduated from Custer High School. Then he graduated from Bryant Stratton Business College on Aug. 30, 1970.

After a while, he lived in West Bend for a short time, then moved to Arizona, where he was employed at General Exterminating Inc. up until the time of his death.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn; brother, Allen of Jackson; sister, Judy of West Bend; niece, Teri of Sheboygan; three nephews, Wayne (Roberta) of West Bend, Steve (Dara) of Hartford, and Jeffrey of West Bend; many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends in Arizona who will miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene H. Chapman on Jan. 7, 2006; and a sister-in-law, Barbara J. Chapman.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley for the great and loving care, the wonderful nurses and doctors, for making him comfortable through his stay there.

There will be a memorial at 5:30 p.m., Friday at Holy Angels Catholic Church and a reception for relatives and friends following.

Burial will be at Washington County Memorial Park, Saturday.
