Irene B. Goeden (nee Krueger), 92, of West Bend died Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Oct. 7, 1915, in the town of Jackson to the late Arthur and Adeline (Nee Benicke) Krueger and married Alexander J. Goeden on June 1, 1940, in West Bend. Alex preceded her in death on May 19, 1999.

Irene is survived by her three children, Kenneth (Beth) Goeden, Judy (Lyle) Giessen and Bonnie (Vern) Paruch; eight grandchildren, John (Jeanette) Goeden, Scott Goeden, Debbie (Nat) Kugath, Greg (Laura) Giessen, Gary (Adela) Giessen, Gayle Giessen, Ryan Paruch and Austin Paruch; and 12 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Jessica, Brittany, Katie, Sam, Rebecca, Joshua, Brianna, Krystal, Colton and Tanner. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alex; two sisters, Johanna and Wilma; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Goeden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend with the Rev. George Mumm officiating.

Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Wednesday, at the church only from noon until 1:45 p.m.
