Miskinis, 93 Kay
Miskinis, 93, of Jackson, passed away June, 30, 20008, at Vitas Hospice at
Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa. He
was born on Sept. 21, 1914, in Easton, Penn. Kay
worked his way through college, earning an electrical engineering degree
from Leheigh Uni-versity in Pennsylvania. After graduation, he moved to
Milwau-kee. Kay
was united in marriage to Betty Burand on Jan. 12, 1944. He was employed
by Allis-Chalmers for 27 years and Schlitz Brewing for nine years. Betty
Miskinis preceded him in death in 1991. Kay
was an avid golfer and sheepshead player. As a member of AARP, he donated
his time helping senior citizens with their income taxes. On
Aug. 14, 2008, Kay married Ruth Van Herwynen and moved to Jackson. He
is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Lynda (Otto) Wiesjahn, Mary (Ron
Tinschert) Miskinis and David Miskinis; stepdaughters, Janet Mollohan and
Karen Sweet; grandchildren, Jill (Alan) White, Wendy Wies-jahn, and
Timothy and Alle Miskinis; and four great-grandchildren. A
memorial service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held on Monday, July 7,
2008 at 2 p.m. at New Hope UCC, Jackson. The Rev. James Hill will
officiate. Visita-tion and refreshments will be served at the church
immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to VITAS Hospice Charitable Trust Fund, 2675 N. Mayfair, Suite 500, Wauwatosa, WI 53226 or other charity is requested.
