Evelyn M. (Le Capitaine) Stellpflug

Evelyn M. (Le Capitaine) Stellpflug, 86, passed away early Wednesday morning, Dec. 21, 2005, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour.

She was born on April 21, 1919 in Appleton, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Last) Le Capitaine. She moved to Black Creek at an early age and spent her early years there.

In 1943 Evelyn entered the military service, enlisting in the Women’s Army Corp, engaged in clerical work.

In 1962 she married Vince "Mike" Stellpflug in Minnesota. He preceded her in death in 1981.

The couple operated a tavern in West Bend, until their retirement in 1980, when they moved to Black Creek.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Black Creek and the Christian Women’s Club at the church.

She is survived by a bother, William Le Capitaine of Seymour, and nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles, Donald (Jack) and James; and her sister, Adeline Braun.

Friends may call at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 301 E. Burdick St., Black Creek, on Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 10 a.m., until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at the Old St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Bend.

The Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting with arrangements.
